High School Completion

 

Our High School Completion Program offers students who have had their high school education interrupted an opportunity to earn their High School diploma through Highline College.

 
Eligibility


During the quarter in which you plan to begin school, you must be 21 years or older.
 
If you are 16 to 21 years old, explore Highline's High School Enhancement Program, Pathway to College, Ex.C.E.L. Program, High School 21+, GED, or Associate Degree Earns High School Diploma.


Steps to Apply

Complete Step 1 through Step 6 by the application deadline.
Quarter Application Deadline
Spring, 2017 March 24, 2017 at 5 pm
Summer, 2017 June 16, 2017 at 5 pm
Fall, 2017 September 15, 2017 at 5 pm
Winter, 2018 December 29, 2017 at 4 pm


Step 1

Check eligibility requirements.

Step 2

Apply online to Highline College or apply in person at the Admissions office in building 6. Your application will be processed within 5 business days of your submission. You will receive a welcome email with your SID (Student Identification Number) and myHighline email activation code.

Step 3

Activate your myHighline email account.  You will need need this prior to taking the placement assessment.

Step 4

Visit Highline's Placement and Testing Center for reading/writing and math skills assessment. Take the complete assessment (reading/writing and math). Photo ID is required.

Step 5

Obtain official transcripts from previous high schools and colleges where credit was earned. Official transcripts must be received in a school sealed envelope. We cannot accept opened or faxed transcripts.

Step 6

Submit your high school transcript and placement assessment scores to Highline's High School Programs office to schedule an appointment for a High School Completion New Student Orientation.  At orientation you will register for classes, meet other new students, and learn about important resources, services and online tools.
